Poker Boss is a passion project. I built it after 20+ years hosting home poker games, then decided to share it with other hosts who might find it useful.
I store the information needed to run your games and use basic analytics to improve the app. I don't sell your data, show ads, or share it with data brokers.
What I store
When you use Poker Boss as a host, I save things like:
- Your account (email and sign-in info)
- Games you create: buy-ins, rebuys, cash-outs, and results
- Player names and optional payment handles (Venmo, Cash App, PayPal) for settle-up
- Settings you choose (currency, defaults, groups, backup hosts, etc.)
- Feedback you send me, if you use the feedback form
That data stays tied to your account so the app can work.
Analytics
I collect usage analytics, like which features get used and when flows complete, so I can fix bugs and improve the product. This is not used for advertising.
What I don't do
- Sell or rent your data
- Show ads or retargeting
- Share your data with data brokers
- Use your player list to market to your friends
Payment apps
Payment handles are only used to build links at settle-up. Poker Bossdoesn't process payments or hold money.
Deleting your data
You can delete individual games in the app. To remove your account and all data tied to it (saved players, groups, games, and results), go to Account in settings and use Delete My Account. That's permanent and can't be undone.
